Presentation and Panel Discussion: Use of BIM in Historic or Existing Buildings

Where: At The Center
Topics of the presentation will investigate the use of modeling when working on Historic or Existing Structures, particularly the interface between BIM and scanning technologies.
The integration of architectural with structural and MEP and Structural Engineers as well as the Construction Manager/Contractor and the possible advantages for the Owner/Manager will be discussed.
Issues of scheduling, costs, liability and information sharing will be also evaluated.
The event will start with a brief presentation by each speaker, focusing on each discipline.This will be followed by a panel discussion led by Paul Seletsky, co-chair of the AIANY Technology Committee, there will be a session at the end for questions from the audience.
