Got License?: Roundtable discussion on becoming an Architect
When: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM TUESDAY, MAY 26
Where: At The Center
This program seeks to create a dialogue about the IDP process, licensure and recent changes in the taking the registration exam, that may have an effect on the number of people receiving their license. There will be an opportunity to hear from an NCARB representative. We will be discussing the experiences of a variety of emerging professionals at different parts of their careers: post-graduation; close to completion of IDP; taking the exam; and post-licensure/mentoring. The young practitioners behind these “case studies” have followed different methods to licensure such as working in architecture firms versus pursuing alternate career paths and attending accredited and non-accredited universities. The program is also intended to be a mini-summit/ focus group, a forum for Chapter members to discuss resources and already available and ones needed to promote licensure in NYS.
