Join the New York Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (nycobaNOMA) and the AIANY Diversity & Inclusion Committee for “Conversations: Community." Presented as the 2015 J. Max Bond Jr. Lecture, an annual series of design talks in memory of J. Max Bond, Jr., FAIA, NOMA, "Conversations: Community” is a design talk by Phil Freelon, FAIA, NOMA, a progressive leader in architecture. The talk will focus on design for community – buildings for civic, cultural and educational clients that bring design excellence to everyday people.

Speaker: Phil Freelon, FAIA, NOMA, Managing and Design Director, Perkins + Will North Carolina; Founder and President, Freelon Group
Phil Freelon is currently managing and design director of Perkins+ Will North Carolina and founder and president of the Freelon Group, based in Research Triangle Park, NC. His notable projects include the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of African American History and Culture (with David Adjaye, Davis Brody Bond and SmithGroup); the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta; and the Anacostia & Tenley-Friendship Libraries in Washington D.C.
