NEWLY DRAWN - Emerging Finnish Architects
NEWLY DRAWN-Emerging Finnish Architects introduces young, upcoming Finnish architects, their latest projects, visions, and ways of working. It is a joint project by the Hollemen Reuter Sandman, Verstas, NOW, Anttinen Oiva Architects, Lassila Hirvilammi, Avanto, ALA, AFKS, K2S resulting in publications, exhibitions, workshops and other events both in Finland and abroad. Social interaction, user experience and transparency have emerged as key elements in the architecture of NEWLY DRAWN offices.
The World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 satellite events in New York City have been produced as a collaboration between the Architectural League of New York, the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter, the Finnish Cultural Institute in New York, the Consulate General of Finland in New York, and the Museum of Finnish Architecture. The events form a part of the 10-month-long New Finnish Design CITY project organized by the Cultural Institute and the Consulate General.
