Public Programs
The Center for Architecture annually hosts 1000 day-time and evening programs that cover subjects related to architecture, planning, and design. Conferences, symposia, lectures, film screenings, and off-site tours provide a variety of opportunities for professionals and design enthusiasts to discuss ideas, themes, and projects.
Since opening in 2003, we have partnered with city agencies, non-profit organizations, cultural institutions, and private companies to create programs that attract diverse audiences and influence how the public experiences architecture and design. The groups include but are not limited to: the United Nations, the NYC Department of Transportation, the Governors Island Preservation and Education Corporation, the Architectural League, the NYC Department of Health, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Canadian Centre for Architecture.
Programs at the Center are open to the public. Visit our calendar for a complete list of upcoming programs.
