The Adaptive Reuse of this abandoned 1903 public school saved it from the wrecking ball, and transformed it into a vibrant new Boys & Girls Club and affordable housing. Once again the pride of the community, as a result of Dattner Architects’ thoughtful renovation which including recreating original building details from photographs and retaining the original character of the school as a backdrop to the new uses, the building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
