Archtober Building of the Day: East Harlem School

Tour an independent not-for-profit school innovative in both mission and design.

When: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM WEDNESDAY, ARCHTOBER 19

Where:Front steps of 309 East 103rd Street (between 1st and 2nd Avenue)

East Harlem School is the first independent school to have been built in the Harlem community in decades. Hear about how the building reflects the special pedagogy of the school, and the architect-led design-build process that achieved the design within a limited budget. Tour led by architect Peter Gluck.
