Sketching the City

This 4-session class is an introduction to architectural free-hand drawing through lessons at the Center and on-site sketching exercises outdoors.

When: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15

Where: At The Center   


Sundays 10 am - 1 pm at the Center for Architecture
September 15, 22, 29 & October 6, 2013

Led by Eli King, CFAF Design Educator

Topics will include sketching building façades, basics of perspective drawing, and techniques for showing light, shadow and rendering building materials. This class is open to the general public - no previous drawing experience necessary.


Materials list (students supply their own):
11 x 14 spiral-bound sketch pad
Three 2B drawing pencils (e.g. Berol 314, Sanford Draughting 02237 (314) or Staedtler HB)
Hand eraser (e.g. Pink Pearl or Staedtler Mars Plastic)
Manual pencil sharpener

Price: $175/person for 4-part series.
